The mission of Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department (SVVFD) is to protect the lives, property, and environment from fires, disasters and emergency incidents through education, prevention and emergency response within the North-Eastern Foothills of San Jose and Milpitas. SVVFD responds to all calls for service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with the help of roughly 50 trained and certified members dedicated to serving and protecting all the lives, property and environment that fall within our dispatch area of approximately 200 square miles.
