The Fuller Road Fire Department Inc. was established in 1926, covering a portion of the southside of the Town of Colonie. The firehouse originally faced Fuller Road. A new 3-bay firehouse was built in 1948. The old firehouse on Fuller Road continued to be utilized as the department offices and gathering hall. At some point in the 1950's, a fourth bay was added to the Central Avenue location. In 1967, a full renovation was completed and is the building you see today from Central Avenue. In 1983, the rear of the building was added onto, to include a larger kitchen area, department offices, storage, and an elevator.
