On July 14, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Savannah, GA, to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The Walk brought together local community members to participate in selfless service and raise awareness for critically ill children and their families seeking treatment at nearby hospitals.
This year, nearly 250 community members, including local business owners, joined the effort to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire and their mission to provide families of seriously ill and injured children with a home away from home. Savannah’s Ronald McDonald House allows families to stay close to their children while they receive treatment at area hospitals and medical facilities. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, all united for a common cause.
Janet Kolbush of RMHC reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “I am grateful for the effort BAPS Charities put into the event and am overwhelmed with the support. The funds raised will help RMHC expand its current facilities.”
The event not only provided an opportunity for participants to engage in a healthier lifestyle but also served as a reminder of the profound impact that collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
