On June 15, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Dublin, CA, to support CityServe of Tri-Valley and El Camino Health’s South Asian Heart Center. This event brought together nearly 500 community members, including Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert, Pleasanton Mayor Karla Brown, Dublin Vice Mayor Dr. Sherry Hu, Dublin City Councilmember Jean Josey, and a representative from Congressman Eric Swalwell’s office. Participants, ranging from youth to seniors, united to raise awareness of health and wellness and offer humanitarian services to those in need.
Mr. David Haubert reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “I’m proud to be associated with BAPS Charities and to see them organizing over 76 events like this one across the country.”
The event promoted healthier lifestyles and highlighted the profound impact of collective efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
