Nearly 55 participants took advantage of the Affordable Care Act – Awareness & Enrollment Drive held in San Jose, CA on January 10, 2016. Organized and hosted by BAPS Charities, the second annual drive aimed to promote access to healthcare through facilitating insurance enrollments and re-enrollments for local community members.
As part of the event, 15 enrollment specialists from the Department of Health and Human Services and volunteers were on hand to provide attendees with personal guidance on understanding the entire enrollment process. Assistance was given on navigating the healthcare exchange websites as well as determining the best possible plan to individual needs.
