On April 27, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Sacramento, CA. The Walk brought together local community members to take steps together and engage in a form of selfless service to raise awareness for BAPS Charities’ efforts in five key areas: Health & Wellness, Community Empowerment, Educational Services, Environmental Protection & Preservation, and Humanitarian Relief. These initiatives empower individuals to volunteer their time and resources to create a better community, nation, and world.
This year, nearly 320 community members, including California State Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen, City of Rancho Cordova Vice Mayor Siri Pulipati, and Folsom City Councilmember YK Chalamcherla, joined the effort to support BAPS Charities. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “Thank you, BAPS Charities, for an amazing ten years of service in the Greater Sacramento Region. You have helped with so many wonderful causes, and I am happy to partner with you.”
The event not only provided an opportunity for participants to engage in living a healthier lifestyle but also served as a reminder of the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
