As part of concerted efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers from BAPS Charities in Robbinsville, NJ delivered over 4,000 N95 masks to several New Jersey healthcare facilities in need of supplies.
With coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rising in the United States, front-line medical professionals across the country may face shortages of protective gear, especially respirator masks. The lack of proper masks affects the ability of medical professionals to protect themselves as they diagnose and treat patients with COVID-19. Volunteers from BAPS Charities in Robbinsville, NJ donated 4,000 potentially life-saving masks to hospitals throughout the state of New Jersey.
”[A] wonderful gift at a critical time,” said Joseph Chirichella on behalf of the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Burlington County, New Jersey.
BAPS Charities is grateful to its volunteers for helping to keep the community healthy. Beyond the recent donation, BAPS Charities has organized and implemented several online awareness campaigns for the community on how to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteers from locations throughout the world are assessing situations on how to help local communities.
