On June 8, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Portland, OR, benefiting Tualatin Riverkeepers and Packed with Pride. This year’s walk united nearly 300 community members, including the City of Tigard Mayor, Honorable Heidi Lueb, and Tigard Police Chief James McDonald, who joined the effort to support the local beneficiaries. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
The event provided an opportunity for participants to engage in a healthier lifestyle and reminded them of the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
