Women’s Health Awareness Lecture on Anxiety in Orlando, FL

Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health conditions, affecting millions of people worldwide. According to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America, women are twice as likely as men to be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, highlighting the need for greater awareness and support. Recognizing the impact of anxiety on women’s health, BAPS Charities organized a health awareness lecture for women in Orlando, FL, on March 22, 2025, to encourage understanding and support.

Presented by Anuja Mehta, the lecture focused on recognizing the various symptoms of anxiety and explored treatment options. Attendees learned about self-care strategies, professional support resources, and practical steps to help themselves or their loved ones manage anxiety effectively. The lecture emphasized the importance of fostering open conversations about mental health and creating a supportive environment for those affected. Through interactive discussions, attendees found commonalities with one another, shared coping mechanisms, and gained valuable insights into how to help their family members understand the condition. This lecture is part of BAPS Charities’ dedication to enhancing health education and support within the community.
