BAPS Charities Walk Green 2019 in New York, NY is an event to raise funds for The Nature Conservancy, local beneficiaries listed below and other BAPS Charities activities. 

This year, BAPS Charities will support The Nature Conservancy’s efforts to plant one billion trees by 2025 through their Plant a Billion Trees initiative. Walk Green 2019 will help The Nature Conservancy plant 61,000 additional trees in 2019. During the last four years, from 2016 to 2019, BAPS Charities Walkathons will have helped plant a total of 361,000 trees.  

Join over 23,000 walkers in over 76 cities in North America and help us protect our environment – for our generation and for generations to come.

Queens Public Library is one of the largest and busiest public library systems in the United States, dedicated to serving the most ethnically and culturally diverse area in the country. An independent, non-profit organization founded in 1896, Queens Public Library offers free access to a collection of more than 5 million books and other materials in multiple languages, technology and digital resources, and more than 87,500 educational, cultural, and civic programs a year. It consists of 65 locations, including branch libraries, a Central Library, seven adult learning centers, a technology lab, two universal pre-kindergarten, and two teen centers. Queens Public Library Foundation raises funds for the programs, services, and collections provided by Queens Public Library. We are able to do so much for so many because of the wonderful support we receive from foundations, corporations, and the thousands of individuals who support the Library.
