With a focus on preventative care, BAPS Charities organized its annual Health Fair throughout North America as part of its global health and wellness initiatives.
On October 19, 2014, 50 physicians and healthcare professionals volunteered at the BAPS Charities Health Fair in Lansdale, PA. Altogether, 300 attendees from the local community were able to take advantage of and benefit from various medical care and awareness offerings:
Number of patients seen by specialty: Internal Medicine/Family practice (259), Orthopedics (145), Women’s Health (94), Ophthalmology (185), Dermatology (164), Dentistry (205), Physical Therapy (188), Nutrition/Dietician (212), Chiropractor (184).
Number of Lab tests conducted: CBC (135), Basic metabolic panel (135), Lipid panel (135), Liver function test (135).
Number of Screening and Diagnostic Tests: Blood pressure (300), Eye Exam (185), Dental Exam (205)
