Women’s Health Awareness Lecture on Caregiving in Knoxville, TN

Research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates that one in five adults is a caregiver, with women making up 58% of this group. BAPS Charities organized a women’s health awareness lecture focusing on ‘Caring for Loved Ones’ in Knoxville, TN on November 10, 2024.  The lecture focused on effective methods for caregivers to support their family and friends.

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Jyotika Sajnani and Dr. Amisha Patel provided an insightful overview of various community resources available on how to provide care for loved ones. This included home health services, caregiver support, palliative care, and hospice care, emphasizing their roles in improving the quality of life for both patients and their families.  Additionally, the lecture covered practical tips on making homes safer for the elderly, ensuring a secure and comfortable living environment.

The event was part of BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellness in the community.
