Women’s Health Awareness Lecture on Breast Cancer in Knoxville, TN

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. However, advances in early detection and treatment have led to an increase in breast cancer survival rates, with over four million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. today. In Canada, the statistics are similar, with about one in eight Canadian women expected to develop breast cancer at some point in their lives, as per the Canadian Cancer Society.

BAPS Charities organized a health awareness lecture for women in Knoxville, TN on September 29, 2024, to raise awareness on this topic. Dr. Amisha Patel highlighted the importance of preventative care and early detection through regular screening. Attendees were provided with vital information on recognizing early symptoms and the benefits of routine mammograms. The event also honored those currently fighting breast cancer, celebrated survivors, and paid tribute to those who lost their lives to the disease. This lecture is part of BAPS Charities’ dedication to enhancing health education and support within the community.
