BAPS Charities showed their support for the incredible work taking place by local organizations in the Dallas, TX area. In addition to the healthcare professionals, community support organizations are also working tirelessly to keep up with the growing demand for their services as citizens are experiencing the mounting financial and emotional strain caused by the pandemic. To show their support, BAPS Charities donated $2,500 to Irving Cares, Brighter Tomorrows, and the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Texas.
Kyle Tyler, Chief Executive Officer of Irving Cares, shared his gratitude in an e-mail response. “This donation to Irving Cares will help Irving residents who are directly impacted by COVID-19. Your support for the community that you live in has changed the lives of residents here locally but has also made an impact globally. I want to thank BAPS Charities for helping to improve the lives of all peoples around the globe!”
“Thank you so much for your support to Brighter Tomorrows,” said Colleen Jamieson, Chief Operating Officer of Brighter Tomorrows. “It is with partners like BAPS Charities that will allow us to continue to empower all victims of domestic violence and sexual assault during this pandemic.”
Finally, Chris Culak, Vice President, Chief of Strategy and Development at VNA, thanked BAPS Charities for their contribution. “With a gift from BAPS Charities, VNA will continue providing services to all VNA Meals on Wheels clients and VNA Hospice and Palliative Care patients. The funding will ensure all clients, patients, staff and volunteers are healthy and safe during this outbreak.”
