While the devastating impact on people’s lives and health due to COVID-19 has made 2020 a challenging year, the pandemic has also negatively impacted the economy and the financial strength of many. For some, the loss of income has led to “food insecurity” or caused challenges to having access to nutritious food.
In order to help provide nourishing food to those struggling families and individuals, BAPS Charities has decided to dedicate all of its annual food drives to combat food insecurity.
BAPS Charities organized a food drive in Clifton, NJ on November 15, 2020. Over 500 canned and dried food items were collected and donated to Passaic County and Clifton Grandma House. Donations were collected while observing appropriate masking and social distance guidelines to protect the health of everyone involved. BAPS Charities thanks all of the volunteers and donors of diverse ages and backgrounds who came together to help the community.
