Healthy eating and nutrition play a prominent role in leading a well-balanced life. In recent years, a common dietary advice is to avoid foods containing white flour. A simple change to wheat flour makes for a more nutritious approach. Just switching from white to whole-wheat bread can reduce heart disease risk by 20 percent, as per research from the University of Washington reported in The Journal of the American Medical Association. As an effort to provide education on not only the difference between white and wheat flour but also its benefits, BAPS Charities hosted a Health Awareness Lecture in Cleveland, Ohio on December 25, 2016.
BAPS Charities organizes health lectures throughout the year such as this one, to spread awareness and help address the various health issues faced by individuals. These initiatives strive to foster healthy living for both the mind and the body.
