Last year, over 16,000 walkers across North America supported BAPS Charities and a wide range of local community, health, educational and humanitarian activities. These Walkathons, organized by BAPS Charities, provided inspiration for individuals to come together and build a better community, one step at a time.
In continuing that tradition, the BAPS Charities Walk in Charlotte, NC took place on April 26, 2015. In total, over 707 participants enthusiastically walked a combined 2,121 miles in support of the event which benefited Matthews Free Medical Clinic. On September 28, 2015 BAPS Charities presented a check of $5,200 to Matthews Free Medical Clinic in the presence of Mayor Jim Taylor, Matthews Town Council Members and Directors of Matthews Free Medical Clinic.
