On May 11, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Augusta, GA, to support Columbia County Cares Food Pantry. The Walk brought together local community members to take steps together and engage in selfless service to raise awareness for serving the needs of underserved families.
This year, nearly 220 community members, including Gary Richardson, District 125 House Representative, and Donna Player, Executive Director of Columbia County Cares, joined the effort to support Columbia County Cares and its mission to serve the needs of Columbia County’s underserved families through the distribution of grocery, health, and comfort products. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
The event not only provided an opportunity for participants to engage in living a healthier lifestyle but also served as a reminder of the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
