On April 28, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Albany, GA, to support the Boys and Girls Club of Albany. The Walk brought together local community members to take steps together and engage in a form of selfless service to raise awareness for the Boys and Girls Club.
This year, nearly 143 community members, including Mr. Steven Belt, the Recreation Management Supervisor for the City of Albany, joined the effort to support the Boys and Girls Club and their mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
Ms. Jacklyn Robinson reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “Both BAPS Charities and Boys and Girls Club provide guidance to young boys and girls to a better way of life.”
The event not only provided an opportunity for participants to engage in living a healthier lifestyle but also served as a reminder of the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
