The Covid-19 pandemic has affected certain communities more severely than others. People of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups have had worse outcomes. It is evident that people who are overweight and/or have diabetes or high blood pressure have also faired much worse.
BAPS Charities in the UK has created a series of short presentations which aim to inform and encourage simple lifestyle changes to help overcome these risk factors and develop physical and mental well-being.
In the first video of this 12-part series (available here) on how to stay healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond, we present some of the key risk factors associated with poor outcomes from Covid-19. We split these into modifiable and non-modifiable groups, setting the stage for how we can improve our overall physical and mental health.
