BAPS Charities organised its third annual community indoor volleyball tournament in the UK, at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering, on Sunday 16 March 2025, marking another milestone in the competition’s growing popularity.
This year’s event welcomed a record-breaking 475+ participants and comprised more than 70 teams from towns and cities across the UK. Players demonstrated outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and teamwork, entertaining the enthusiastic supporters who had gathered to witness the action.
The top 32 teams advanced to the latter stages of the prestigious Sahajanand Cup, while the next 32 teams competed in the Ekantik Cup, ensuring all players enjoyed a full day of competitive yet friendly play.
In the final of the Ekantik Cup, West London A emerged victorious against Leicester Wolves after an intense game.
The Sahajanand Cup final was equally electrifying, with the reigning champions, South East London A, defeating Leicester Panthers in a closely contested match that had spectators on the edge of their seats.
More than just a tournament, the event celebrated health, fitness, and community spirit, reinforcing the power of sport to bring people together. The growth of the competition reflects its increasing significance in promoting teamwork and an active lifestyle far beyond the volleyball court.
