BAPS Charities, Manchester, collected winter clothing for the elderly in December 2018, as part of an on-going commitment to serve the needy in the local community.
Volunteers collected over a hundred pieces of warm clothing, including jumpers, jackets and trousers. These in turn were donated to Age UK, “the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life.”
Umesh Patel, a lead volunteer at BAPS Charities in Manchester, shared, “Being elderly brings many tough challenges but at this time of the year, it is particularly difficult. We hope that the clothes can provide some warmth and comfort to those in need.”
