BAPS Charities, Leeds, collected winter clothing for the homeless on 22 December 2018, as part of an on-going commitment to serve the needy in the local community.
Both children and adult volunteers collected a variety of warm pieces of clothing, including jumpers, jackets and trousers. These in turn were deposited at Emmaus, a charity that aims to make positive changes to the life of homeless people and the community around them.
The donation was warmly appreciated by Joanne Stafford of Emmaus.
Ashish Patel, a lead volunteer at BAPS Charities in Leeds, shared, “Our heart goes out to the homeless during these frigid winter months. We’re grateful for this opportunity to be able to bring them some warmth and comfort.”
