BAPS Charities hosted a Blood Donation Drive in Mayfair-West, Johannesburg on Sunday, 23 March 2014. This was the first quarterly blood drive planned for the year in the city of Johannesburg. Quarterly drives are held in major centres across the country to support the efforts of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to collect blood from donors to meet medical demand. On this occasion, a total of 28 pints of blood was collected thanks to the community and members of the public who responded to the call to donate. BAPS Charities will host further blood donation drives across the country during the course of the year to support this worthy and important cause.
