On 26 April 2020, BAPS Charities volunteers packed and distributed food hampers to residents of the Johannesburg Institute of Social Services (JISS) centre for the Aged in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg. The national lockdown has made it difficult for organisations such as JISS to service the needs of its residents during this challenging time. The institute rely on generous donations from the public to assist in the welfare and care of the people residing in the centre.
