On Sunday 7th June 2015 BAPS Charities held its quarterly Blood Donation Drive in Mayfair, Johannesburg. Quarterly drives are held in major centres across the country to support the efforts of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to collect blood from donors to meet medical demand. On this occasion, a total of 35 pints of blood was collected thanks to the community and members of the public who responded to the call to donate.
The event was also held in support of National Blood Donor month, an initiative led by the SANBS to highlight the importance of donating blood and to acknowledge donors who frequently donate blood to fulfil the needs of the SANBS.
BAPS Charities will be hosting further donation drives across the country during the course of the year to support this worthy and important cause.
