On April 25, 2020, BAPS Charities donated 5,000 surgical masks, 1,000 mask storage containers, and packaged food and beverages to the Seton Medical Center in Daly City, CA. With the number of COVID-19 cases rising, BAPS Charities took the initiative to help healthcare workers stay safe and healthy as they work tirelessly to serve the patients.
Meeting the increased demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) has become a priority to many hospitals across the United States. Mr. Anthony Armada, President of Seton Medical Center, thanked BAPS Charities for the “generous donation of surgical masks, containers, and food that will certainly be put to the best use as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.” Mr. Armada also said of the volunteers “you guys are heroes from our standpoint as we continue to be blessed by the organizations like BAPS Charities.”
BAPS Charities will continue to assess the local needs in the Bay Area in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. BAPS Charities also appreciates the service of healthcare workers who have so selflessly put themselves on the frontline.
