With its unprecedented impact on the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has left many urgently seeking help and treatment. BAPS Charities has mobilized its volunteers across the country and around the world to support the fight against the pandemic.
Frontline workers are selflessly sacrificing not just time away from their loved ones but putting their own well-being to the side to serve their communities. In gratitude and recognition of the heroic services provided by frontline workers volunteers of BAPS Charities donated 100 surgical masks and 60 N95 masks to Lowell General Hospital on April 28, 2020.
“PPE is in high demand at hospitals right now and receiving them at a time of need makes a big difference. It is a blessing to have generous people like you at BAPS Charities to come out and deliver it to us,” said Kelly Will, Philanthropy Services Manager at Lowell General Hospital.
Dr. Barry, from the critical care unit, expressed gratitude, “Our deepest appreciation to BAPS Charities for taking up this initiative and helping the community, especially to healthcare workers who risk their own lives to save many. Thank you for the wonderful work that you do.”
Beyond the recent donation, BAPS Charities has organized and implemented several online awareness campaigns for the community on how to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteers from locations throughout the world are continuously assessing the situation in order to best help local communities.
