With many businesses closed throughout Silicon Valley and families adhering to the extended shelter-in-place order, food accessibility has become a major concern for many families. BAPS Charities has been at the forefront of helping the local communities, hospitals, healthcare workers, and first responders who are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
On April 25, 2020, BAPS Charities donated over 350 items of food and beverages packaged food and beverages to the Milpitas Food Pantry. Program Assistant Ellen Brutsch thanked BAPS Charities for their donation and stated that the Food Pantry “serves the need of the community in these difficult times. [They] could not do it without the support of organizations such as BAPS Charities.”
BAPS Charities is grateful to its volunteers who provided assistance to the local community in this time of need. BAPS Charities will continue to assess local situations to better serve communities across the United States
