BAPS Charities recently organised a nationwide food drive in New Zealand in partnership with the Kindness Collective, embodying the true essence of selfless service. This initiative demonstrated how united efforts can uplift communities and bring hope and happiness to countless lives.
The success of this endeavour was built upon the collective dedication of over 100 participants, volunteers, and community members who generously contributed their time and resources. These acts of kindness translated into tangible support for families in need, showcasing the extraordinary impact of community solidarity. Over several weeks, individuals from across New Zealand came together to amass an impressive 1.8 tonnes of non-perishable food items, organised into 206 cartons.
Volunteers devoted over 200 hours of combined service, ensuring every aspect of the initiative—from collecting donations to sorting and delivering them—was executed with care and precision. These efforts embodied the values of compassion and unity that define BAPS Charities. The collected food was thoughtfully packed and handed over to the Kindness Collective, enabling them to provide vital support to families facing food insecurity. This partnership emphasised the shared commitment of both organisations to fostering hope and alleviating hardship.
