While the entire world is experiencing the unfortunate crisis of the Coronavirus virus (COVID-19) pandemic and its consequential effects on every aspect of human life, BAPS Charities NZ initiated and mobilized services, support and spiritual care in a variety of ways to as many individuals and families as possible in New Zealand.
The BAPS Charities and its dedicated team of volunteers provided selfless services in five of New Zealand’s main cities such as Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Wellington and Christchurch. BAPS Charities through its Kiwi Care project provided food kits and other essential items to help sustain community needs. Partnering with the local government agencies such as Auckland City Mission, Consulate of India in Auckland, High Commission of India in Wellington and Wellington City Mission,Salvation Army, NZ blood and Red Cross Society among key NGO’s, BAPS Charities made a significant contribution to the NZ society in times of such unprecedented crisis.
On the celebration of 74th Independence day of India ,15th August 2020 ,The high Commissioner of India Wellington, Mr Muktesh K Pardesi presented the “Certificate of Appreciation” to BAPS Charities New Zealand for their selfless voluntarism during the Covid -19 lock down.
Through this contribution and other relief efforts worldwide, BAPS Charities and its volunteers aim to help communities remain strong as we emerge together from the pandemic. BAPS Charities is thankful to all its sponsors and volunteers for their continuous support.
