BAPS Charities New Zealand, with the support of New Zealand Blood, organized a nationwide blood drive across five cities in New Zealand — Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Napier, and Christchurch. This humanitarian effort, rooted in the true spirit of service, brought together members of local communities to contribute to the life-saving cause of blood donation.
The blood drive was a resounding success, collecting over 130 pints of blood. Each pint has the potential to save up to three lives, resulting in over 390 lives being positively impacted by the donations collected during this initiative.
The blood collected will provide much-needed support to hospitals across New Zealand, ensuring that critical patients, including those undergoing surgeries, suffering from trauma, or requiring ongoing medical treatments, receive the life-saving blood they need. BAPS Charities is grateful to all the donors who selflessly contributed and helped make this effort a significant success.
This blood drive exemplified the joy of giving, deeply rooted in the true spirit of service, with volunteers and donors coming forward in large numbers to make a difference. The overwhelming support reflects the shared commitment of the wider community, together with New Zealand Blood, to support healthcare services and give back in a meaningful way.
BAPS Charities remains committed to supporting New Zealand’s healthcare system through such initiatives, aligned with our mission of promoting health and well-being. We extend our heartfelt thanks to New Zealand Blood, volunteers and donors, who made this blood drive possible. Together, we are saving lives and making a lasting impact on our communities.
