BAPS Charities arranges Toy Drive across New Zealand

As New Zealand is undergoing a period of economic difficulty, BAPS Charities facilitated a toy drive in partnership with Hasbro and the Kindness Collective in order to bring joy and hope to families in need. The effect of the toy drive saw thousands of toys distributed across New Zealand just in time for the holiday season.

Hasbro, being a global leader in the toy industry, generously donated thousands of toys thereby enabling this initiative. The Kindness Collective ensured that the toys were distributed efficiently and to the children most in need across both rural and urban areas.

Kindness Collective’s role was pivotal. Their expertise in community outreach ensured the toys were not just delivered but reached the children and families who needed them most. CEO Sarah Page highlighted the partnership: “We’re incredibly grateful for the wonderful donation from BAPS Charities of thousands and thousands of toys because it means that thousands of families can have moments together over Christmas. It’s going to create thousands of moments of joy for children unwrapping presents that they wouldn’t have had otherwise. We’re incredibly grateful, and we know that there’s going to be a lot of happy kids waking up on Christmas morning thanks to Hasbro and BAPS Charities.”

For families facing economic hardships, this season can be particularly tough. By putting this toy drive together, BAPS Charities aims to brighten the holidays and foster hope well into 2025.
