BAPS Charities continues to provide support to frontline staff and first responders combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Fort Bend County, Texas. On April 27, 2020, BAPS Charities donated 1,500 N95 masks, to the essential staff at the county offices. The availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) can seriously impact the ability of county officials and responders to adequately protect themselves as they respond to the needs of community members.
Fort Bend County Judge KP George personally accepted the donation and remarked, “Thank you to BAPS Charities for everything you do to support and uplift the Fort Bend community.” He conveyed his deep appreciation for community partners like BAPS Charities for recognizing this ongoing need and leading the way by donating lifesaving PPE.
BAPS Charities is grateful to its volunteers for helping to keep the community healthy. Beyond the recent donation, BAPS Charities has organized and implemented several online awareness campaigns for the community in on how to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. BAPS Charities volunteers throughout the world are assessing situations and providing support to help local communities.
