As the United States and world continue to battle COVID-19, access to food and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have become major concerns, especially for those working long hours on the frontline. In gratitude and recognition of their heroic services, BAPS Charities donated 500 KN95 face masks and delivered 200 hot vegetarian meals and food care packages to the Emergency Medical Services of New Castle County, Delaware.
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer joined BAPS Charities volunteers to make the delivery and remarked, “COVID-19 has hit our community hard; BAPS Charities is always on the frontline whenever there is a problem. I cannot say Thank You enough to the leaders of the community that came up with this initiative and all the members of BAPS not just in Delaware but all the members of BAPS across the world who are serving us and the people of New Castle County.”
Just as BAPS Charities is honored to serve the heroes of Delaware, volunteers in the United States and throughout the world are assessing situations and providing support to help their local communities. For more details, visit www.bapscharities.org/covid19.
