On Sunday 14th July 2024, BAPS Charities chapters across Kenya carried out a Nationwide Blood donation drive, collecting 729 pints of blood to save lives!
Hospitals nationwide need large amounts of blood for many patients to survive, yet the country faces a critical shortage in blood banks.
For many years, BAPS Charities has supported the Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority (KTTA) by organizing blood donation drives to benefit communities and hospitals across the country.
A total of 729 pints of blood were collected by KTTA from the following 16 BAPS Charities chapters across Kenya:
1. Bomet – 44
2. Eldoret – 74
3. Kakamega – 100
4. Kericho – 16
5. Kerugoya – 12
6. Kisii – 28
7. Kisumu – 36
8. Mombasa – 37
9. Nyali, Mombasa – 17
10. Nairobi – 123
11. Nakuru – 40
12. Narok – 22
13. Nyeri – 26
14. Ruiru – 35
15. South C, Nairobi – 67
16. Thika – 52
