BAPS Charities Nairobi Chapter once again visited the New Life Children’s Home on 1st October 2022. The home hosts 45 to 50 orphaned children between the ages of 0 to 7 years. These vulnerable babies are divided into 3 categories – newborns from 0-7 months, crawlers from 8-12 months and toddlers from 1 year onwards. All the children were abandoned or have been given up for adoption by their birth parents. The home on Lenana Road is one of 4 under the New Life Home Trust. The Trust has strict procedures and policies in place, ensuring the children are very well looked after. BAPS Charities has supported the Nairobi home several times previously. The caregivers and nurses were appreciative of the continued support.
On this visit, the BAPS Charities volunteers donated 11 large boxes of assorted toys, as well as 212 boxes and packets of assorted food items. The visit humbled all the volunteers, leaving a lasting impression for all to do more charity work.
BAPS Charities will continue to support such efforts under the Community Empowerment and Humanitarian Relief pillars.
