On the joyous occasion celebrating the centenary of the founder of BAPS Charities H.H Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the BAPS Charities Nairobi chapter made donations to Britons community school in Embakasi, Nairobi.
The school was founded in 2007 and currently educates approximately 320 students aged 3 to 16 years. Most of the students come from the surrounding slums within which it is located and live in extreme poverty. Despite the schools very limited resources and space, it provides an incredible level of education to the children. Such efforts ensure they have a chance to a brighter future.
BAPS Charities volunteers visited the school on 21st June 2022 for the donation exercise supporting the immediate needs of the children, teachers, and parents. The donations included: 140 pieces of Women’s clothing, Beans 100kg, Maize meal 96kg, Wheat Flour 96kg, Cooking fat 10kg, Cooking oil, Sanitary pads, assorted stationary, and printing paper.
The leader of the centre Mr. Geoffrey, the children, and the support staff appreciated BAPS Charities and its volunteers for the kind gesture.
