Mama Fatuma Goodwill Children’s Home, a sanctuary for 85 orphans and vulnerable children, provides care and support to youth from new-borns to 18 years old. These children, many of whom have faced abandonment, child trafficking, abuse, child labour, or have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS, come from diverse and challenging backgrounds. The home also supports refugee and conflict-affected youth, offering them hope and a path forward.
On September 20, 2024, BAPS Charities Kenya, Nairobi chapter, donated two cartons of water bottles and 12 bales of sanitary towels for the home. This contribution will help ensure that girls can continue attending school without interruptions caused by a lack of basic hygiene products.
Mr. Mohamad, the school administrator, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing how these supplies will make a lasting impact on the children’s education and well-being. “These essential resources not only safeguard their health but also empower them to pursue their studies with dignity and confidence,” he said.
This act of kindness will undoubtedly play a significant role in improving the lives of the children at Mama Fatuma Goodwill Children’s Home, reflecting the power of community support and care.
