In May 2020, BAPS Charities Kenya together with Jumbo mattresses donated mattresses to a children’s orphanage and Sango Rota town in Kisumu County
40 quilted mattresses were donated to the children’s orphanage in Ramba near Oyugis between Kisumu and Kisii.
While 200 mattresses were donated to the residents in Sango Rota in Kisumu county that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and flooding in the area.
Speaking during the distribution an official at Sango Rota announced, “Special thanks to BAPS Charities and Jumbo Mattresses for their generous donation. As a county we must unite our efforts and charter a new path to revive our economy in the face of these adversities.”
