In May 2020, BAPS Charities donated food items to Nyando sub county in Kisumu and the neighbouring villages within the sub county. The donations were to support the communities in need during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The food items included 4.5 tonnes of maize, 84 litres of cooking oil, and 300 kg of Salt
For the distribution exercise, village dwellers were divided into their various villages and the elders led the distributions in their respective areas.
During the distribution exercise, one official commented, “I sincerely appreciate the organization for heeding our call for help. We made sure the donations reached the people in need”.
