A blood donation drive was held on the 10th of December 2017 at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Nairobi, Kenya.
BAPS Charities partnered with the Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service (KNBTS) with the help of the members of The Blood Link Foundation. Blood Link Foundation is an NGO working towards creating a pool of low risk donors. Alongside this, Blood Link very notably focuses on creating awareness campaigns to educate the public on the dire need as well as destigmatizing the process of blood donation itself.
BAPS charities, along with it’s volunteers, hosted this donation drive in order to create a convenient point of donation for the local community. Approximately 100 pints of blood were donated by individuals who took the time to join in this worthy cause.
