On 15th October, 2017, BAPS Charities volunteers visited Amrita School, in Athi River, a town 30 kilometers from the Nairobi CBD.
The school educates a number of underprivileged children from approximately 6 slums in the vicinity. In the spirit of the Diwali festivities (the Hindu festival of lights – a celebration of Good over evil), several BAPS Charities volunteers provided a meal of beans, bread, Indian sweets, biscuits, juice and fruits to 250 students and staff.
Mr. Manish Shah the school’s patron thanked the BAPS Charities volunteers for their wholehearted support and donation.
