Opened in June 2016, BAPS Educational Hostel – Bodeli provides a home-like hostel facility for about 200 students from highly deprived and disadvantaged tribal communities with almost no means of sustenance for their families and children. Given that these families are unable to afford even basics of life which are almost taken for granted by those from a normal middle class family in India, the BAPS Educational Hostel provides these bright students a structured environment and key resources to allow them the opportunity to empower themselves through education.
The Chhatralaya is located at Bodeli village in Chhota Udepur district. In addition to Government approved educational programs and related academic activities which are spread over course curricula up to 12th Standard, the BAPS Educational Chhatralay conducts mentor-based programs that encourage the students to build physical, mental and spiritual skills and inspire to develop innovations at various levels. These programs also help to develop these young students by fostering well-rounded essential qualities of life like self-confidence, communication skills and leadership.
