On April 25, 2020, BAPS Charities donated 300 pounds of dry pasta to Councilmember Cynthia Moran’s Food Drive in the City of Chino Hills benefiting Caring for the Hills, a local food bank assisting low income and disadvantaged citizens in the Chino Hills community. The ongoing pandemic has resulted in an increase in the number of individuals and families facing food scarcity.
Councilmember Moran stated, “I am once again amazed at the outpouring of support BAPS Charities has given our community.” Graduating senior Naman Solanki, of Chino Hills High School reinforced her sentiments by stating “it is a privilege to give back to the community that shaped our future. Assisting families in this time of need means so much more to me than walking in a graduation ceremony.”
BAPS Charities continues to assess and monitor the local community’s needs during these uncertain times through several mediums, including food drives. This drive not only lifted the spirits of the citizens by seeing so many individuals come together to gather resources for those in need but also inspired and united the community during these difficult times.
