While the devastating impact on people’s lives and health due to COVID-19 has made 2022 a challenging year, BAPS Charities donated $10,000 to the United Hospital Foundation to prevent and treat illness throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. United Hospital Foundation operates 11 hospitals and over 90 clinics, providing a full range of health care and is recognized nationally and locally for its expertise and care.
Jill Ostream, the president of United and Mercy Hospitals, stated, “On behalf of United Hospital and Allina Health Foundation, I write with gratitude and appreciation to thank you and the members of BAPS Charities, Twin Cities, for your generous and meaningful contribution. Your gift of $10,000 will help support Allina caregivers who themselves have experienced the impact of COVID-19. Allina has never seen a community illness impact patients and staff in the way we have seen during this pandemic.”
“We were especially touched by your personal visit to United Hospital. We enjoyed learning more about BAPS Charities and the tremendous work you’ve done here in the Twin Cities and across the globe to support testing, vaccination, and humanitarian relief during the pandemic.”
The donation is part of a larger initiative by the volunteers of BAPS Charities worldwide, who continue to evaluate situations in local communities to provide support effectively.
