While the devastating impact on people’s lives and health due to COVID-19 has made 2021 a challenging year, the prolonged pandemic has also impacted many financially. In response to challenges brought by the rise in COVID-19 cases from the Omicron variant, BAPS Charities donated $1,000 to the Rocky Hill Education Foundation (RHEF) on December 19, 2021, to support educational opportunities and scholarships to their students.
“We are honored to be the recipients of this BAPS Charities donation and wish you continued success with your mission of giving and selfless service to others.” Said Christine Flynn, one of the Board Members of the Rocky Hill Education Foundation.
“I am very grateful for the generosity of both (BAPS Charities and RHEF), their hard-working volunteers, and the examples they set in our community. They are both true community partners.” Lisa Marotta, the Mayor of Rocky Hill, CT.
RHEF has served the Rocky Hill public schools for more than 20 years & is run solely by volunteers from the Rocky Hill community. Its mission is to ensure students have the resources they need to explore STEM & STEAM opportunities. The Foundation funds pilot programs that the District will implement in future years, enrichment programs, a variety of technology, & scholarships for college.
