The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the lives of Americans all across the country. While residents in the metro Atlanta area adjust to their new and unexpected “normal”, healthcare professionals have gone above and beyond, sacrificing time with family and personal safety to care for patients. To support their incredible efforts and show appreciation, BAPS Charities donated $10,000 to Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, Georgia on April 29, 2020.
In attendance to accept the contribution were CEO Marilyn Margolis and Chief Nursing Officer Heather Redrick. In expressing her appreciation, Ms. Margolis shared, “There are no words that can express how much your gift means to us! That you chose us for this donation because of your love of the hospital is such validation of what the staff does here every day. Your gift will provide us with the way to continue moving forward on our journey. Your generosity will not be forgotten and we are eternally grateful to BAPS Charities for all the good things you bring to the world and for honoring us with your kindness.” The donated funds will be used towards the vaccine program at the hospital and to purchase Personal Protective Equipment for the staff.
As healthcare professionals continue to support patients and volunteer organizations continue to support community members in their fight against COVID-19, BAPS Charities will continue to
provide local organizations and healthcare providers support and resources to show their gratitude and highlight the importance of service and volunteerism in our local communities. For more details about BAPS Charities COVID-19 Relief efforts, please visit https://www.bapscharities.org/covid-19/
