The Victoria General Hospital Foundation is dedicated to advancing healthcare at the Victoria Hospital and in the community to create healthier futures for all.
BAPS Charities Canada donated $2,500 to support the incredible work taking place at Victoria General Hospital Foundation in Winnipeg, MB.
“We are grateful to BAPS Charities and all walkathon participants for so generously supporting the health and well-being of our community,” said Nicole Chammartin, Executive Director, Victoria General Hospital Foundation. “These funds will help to ensure our Miracle Garden is here to support the mental and physical health of our patients and community through this critical time and for years to come.”
To help those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, over the past year, BAPS Charities Canada has supported communities in 57 cities across the country by donating PPE to hospitals, distributing care packages, donating to food banks, making phone calls of support, educating people through webinars and other initiatives. BAPS Charities Canada also hosted a vaccine clinic that vaccinated over 21,000 Canadians. In addition, BAPS Charities organizes an annual walkathon in cities across Canada in support of local and regional beneficiaries. BAPS Charities also supported relief initiatives in India in non-clinical areas assisting victims and their families affected by the pandemic through its affiliated centers and hospitals.
BAPS Charities also made donations to support the William Osler Health System Foundation, the CNIB Foundation, and the Scarborough Health Network Foundation. BAPS Charities is committed to serving society and communities in diverse fields such as medical, environmental, community, educational, and humanitarian services.
