On August 11, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” event in Vancouver, British Columbia. This year, over 150 participants from the community came together to support the lifesaving work of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
The walk aimed to raise awareness and funds for various health initiatives and charitable activities organized by BAPS Charities. Participants of all ages, from youth to seniors, joined in the effort, demonstrating a strong commitment to the cause.
The William Osler Health System is one of Canada’s largest community healthcare networks, consisting of Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, formerly known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a non-profit organization that provides innovative programs and advocacy for individuals affected by blindness.
The event not only promoted a healthier lifestyle but also highlighted the significant impact of collective efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
